This month discover the intense glow of Indian culture as you explore William Morris’s fascination with Indian textiles. An evening celebrating colour, design and craftsmanship. Akademi kathak artist, Parbati Chaudhuri, and tabla player, Hiren Chate, perform a series of compositions they have uniquely choreographed for the William Morris Gallery. Through a series of technical dances they will explore colour through costume, craftsmanship through their technique and precision and virtuosity and design through the choreography and interplay between tabla and dancer.
