The Larder is a collection of independent barista-led coffee houses with whole-food kitchens. We’re here to deliver high-end speciality coffee and fantastic food, in an unpretentious and inclusive environment, whilst doing the least harm to the planet along the way.

Timeline:

2005 – great frustration felt at the lack of good coffee in Wanstead
2006 – The Worlds Larder Ltd was founded
2007 – the Larder on Wanstead High Street was launched
2011 – the Larder at Butler’s Retreat opened in Epping Forest
2012 – the Larder’s all vegetarian kitchen opened on Globe Road in Bethnal Green
2016 – the Larder opened at the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow
2018 – the Larder opened at the Walthamstow Wetlands
2018 – the Larder opened at multiple sites in East Ham
2019 – the Filter Bar opens in Wanstead, adjoining the existing Larder café/deli
2022 – due to being knackered all the time we closed all the cafés except our flagships in Wanstead and Butler’s Retreat
